Atlas Gym now has some Danger Room capabilities in a new sparring area. It has certain limits due to Logan not exactly being a tech geek, but it'll be good enough for fighting a few adequately-rendered ninjas here and there.
*Size: The sparring area room is the size of a professional boxing ring, 20' x 20' and 20' high. The holographic projectors aren't set up to change the appearance of the room, so it will always appear to be a largeish room with plain walls. One wall has a door to the main gym and a window with heavy-duty blinds that can be opened from the inside, just in case the sparring person(s) want to show off.
*Holographic Projections: Due to a combination of technological limits and Logan thinking of safety, there is a limit of four active holographic opponents at any given time. The room can be set to have opponents respawn, keeping a constant flow of 1-4 opponents, but that's a special request that you'll need to clear with the manager. While the opponents can be outfitted as ninjas, pirates, bank robbers, robots, etc, they are generic and roughly human sized (by which I mean that if someone wanted to fight a 7'-6" robot, that's still human sized, even though it's an extremely atypical height). Basic weapons (swords, staffs, and clubs, for example) can be included in the programming, but they will do no damage to actual people in the room. With the tech and art limitations of the manager, any intricate holograms will end up being a little off. Want to fight a gorilla? You're more likely to get what looks like a guy in a gorilla suit. If you want to fight Godzilla, you'll probably get a guy in a rubber suit. You can see what I'm getting at here. Unlike the school's Danger Shop (which was programmed by somebody who knew what the hell he was doing) nobody's going to show up as a recognizable character or celebrity or anything in here. There is one exception to this, but that's not important right now. That's about it for the holograms. No lasers, no spiked balls of death... If you want those, you have to bring them in yourself. Please don't bring in lasers or spiked balls of death.
*Security: While the sparring area is accessible at all times for normal person-to-person, fist-to-fist, lightsaber-to-lightsaber sparring/fighting, the main controls for the Danger Room's holograms are housed in an adjacent storage closet that will be locked up unless Logan gives you the key upon request. He will generally demand to supervise, but there may be times when he's out of town that a key drop-off can be arranged. The controls are part of a bulky computer console crammed into the closet. It looks more like something that the 1970s thought the computers of the future would look like. Additionally, Logan has master controls in his office where he can shut the system down whenever he wants. This will probably only be if somebody's in danger. Or he managed to drink enough to get himself briefly drunk and he thinks it'll be funny.
*Danger: There won't be much actual danger. Holograms can smack you around a bit, but between security stuff programmed into the software and Logan with his finger on the dump button, anything beyond light bruising is unlikely.
*Protocol: Logan's in the manager's office every weekend and has a phone. Contact him if you want to use the Danger Room capabilities. Tell him what you want and when and he'll set it up. Or you can contact me OOCly and we'll work out something and handwave if necessary.
That's about it. Any questions?
