That was really well done - I enjoyed the straddling of two times, which you managed without making it seem frenzied, and you did a fantastic job of situating Sirius on both sides of that divide. And I loved the interactions with him and Remus, and the careful, subtle way you showed the insidious doubts as they came to him. And that Tonks called him on his awful pick-up line! (Even though it's angsty, you always need some comic relief.)

The final line, though, is wonderful - powerful. Definitely five (plus) whiskies stuff. :) Thanks for sharing this.
