Title: The Sign of the Scarf
Genre: Humour
Ratings & Warnings: PG
Word Count: 1817
Summary: All Christmas scarves are simply a gift to keep out the cold. Aren’t they?
Author's Note: For
katyscarlett76, who requested Remus/Tonks and the prompt scarf. I'd say this was just fluffy fun, but there's enough scarf jokes already...

But above and beyond the LOL moment, this story just made me feel warm all over. First there are the wonderful R/T moments, of course; it's no wonder Molly thought something was going on, because those two just feel so perfectly comfortable and in tune with each other. The way gazes and smiles are used to communicate shows just how well they understand each other, and the warm quiet humor they share is lovely to see.
The interaction between Remus and Sirius is wonderful, too, especially when it turns (um, sorry) serious, and we can see the strength of the friendship underneath all the banter.
And, as others have said, it's fun to find out that Remus and Tonks are further along than any of these matchmakers (or the reader!) expects, especially given Sirius's earnest words about not letting chances slip away. Hee

It's nice to know you thought the R/T worked. I've written Sirius pushing them towards each other in a romantic direction several times now, and thought it would be fun to have them both one step ahead of the matchmaking game and yet rather baffled by how they'd given themselves away. While trying to write it so that it was obvious how they would have in their comfortable and easy behaviour towards each other.
As for Kingsley and Sirius, I was a bit worried I'd made it too obvious at the beginning when the former's was the only scarf not seen so yay for making you laugh. I like to think Sirius will never pluck up the courage to ask Molly if that one's just pure coincidence or if she really is matchmaking there, lol.
Thanks again, as always, for stopping by and reviewing. :)

And that conversation over there was just... right. The one you get "with all the wonder and pleasure of a relationship only a few weeks old". Great line, by the way.
And I reaaaally loved the ending. I'm not shipping them, though. I don't know why, I always imagined Kingsley would have married a Muggle.
Cheers!

It would be rather nice for Kingsley, ending up as Minister for Magic, being married to a Muggle. I always wish he'd got a bit more time in the books; he seemed such an interesting character.
Thank you. ♥
