I enjoyed this so much. I think it's such a fabulous idea and the images really made it such an interesting reading experience.

I love the conversational tone of the early letters - it reads so much as two people who just want to have contact with each other and hear each other's news and talk about their days. Which is what makes the later letters work so very well, when Tonks says "Because we want to share everything." and talks about wanting to have those great experiences with him; and later, when Remus tells her about all the things he's wanted to show her.

And I really love what's Between the Lines of the three kisses, lol.

A really great job, ladies, I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter. :D

Oh, we're so glad you liked it! One of the major headaches with Up All Night was trying to sound like one writer throughout, rather than two sandwiched untidily together, but we certainly haven't got to worry about that here. Which saves a lot of time and hassle! I think we've both always fancied doing an R/T epistolary story, and have even more fun than Remus and Tonks waiting to see what's going to fall thought the email door next. It really sparks off a lot of ideas, which is great ( ... )

You keep saying all these incredibly nice things about the graphics, that you're making me blush, because it really was so, so easy. Siriusly. But thanks, and I'm so pleased you like how they turned out. :)

Ooooohhh Remus' tattooed chest! *rawr* ;)

This is a really good idea, and your different writing styles make it really seem as if the letters are written by a man and a woman who doesn't know what goes on in the head of the other. Together with the images, the paper and the handwritten styles, you have created a really great illusion here!

As godricgal mentioned the transition from being chatty letters to a much more personal (and in the end very emotional) heart-to-heart is wonderfully done. Tonks is so fortright when she realises that he hasn't understood her hints, and he fights his own tendency to run in the face of her honesty and meets her. I love how he regretted that bitter note and immediately sent another. Aaawww, Remus, you tattooed fool! Also - extra bonus for me discovering what those xxx mean! ;)

I look forward to reading more of this. You have me intrigued about the "Up the Duff" happenings!

Er, that's supposed to be "getting the letters ourselves nearly as much as they have." I've now remembered I can't edit comments on this one and not to press the button too soon!

I already mentioned it on Mrs Tater's journal, but I think you should know too that I absolutely love the idea you had with this fic, since it was incredibly funny, entertaning and refreshing a work from two different authors.

I like the fact that we can distinguish the voices of Remus and Tonks, they are soooo in character and I'll wait eagerly for more to read :D

Thank you so much for leaving two lots of comments - definitely deserves an extra sticky toffee pudding helping!

We're very pleased you're enjoying it so much as it's been great fun to do (apart from the odd, mutual headache when they're getting serious and doing the soul-baring stuff; it's not as easy to write as awful goat jokes, lol). We spent a lot of time with Up All Night trying to ensure that it sounded like one writer throughout, rather than two where you could see the joins, but we haven't had to worry about that here at all with Lisa being Tonks and me doing Remus. All of which to say, it's great to know you can 'hear' the seperate voices, and that they really sound like them! It was fun finding and doing the graphics as well, and I think Lisa found perfect handwriting for them both as I imagine it.

Part II is underway and, as Remus currently owes Tonks (and it never pays to keep a lady waiting;)), I'd better get to it! Many thanks again. :)

Gorgeous, touching and funny!

I LOVE epistolary fics and Dora and Remus are entirely suited for this style.

You and mrstater are D/T master writers!

Thank you both for this!

Aw, thank you very much on behalf of us both!

I think we've both always wanted to do an R/T epistolary fic and, unlike our previous collaboration, we haven't had to worry at all about not sounding alike - in fact, the opposite is true, thankfully, with Lisa being Tonks and me Remus. It's great fun getting the letters ourselves as though we've got a vague idea of things to include along the way, and roughly where we're going to end up, the letters always spark further ideas, or have Remus wondering if she really means what he hopes she does... So we're very pleased you've enjoyed it and hope you'll be back for Part II.

Talking of which; Remus owes Tonks and that will never do. ;)

Thanks again!:D

It's nice to see you, you've been quiet too long! I hope you'll soon have lots of freedom to get back on LJ.

We're both thrilled you're enjoying this so much and like the pictures. I must admit the goats still make me grin, especially Bandit Goat. Lisa did a wonderful job with the graphics, and finding suitable handwriting, and it just seemed a way of bringing the whole thing to life a little bit more and illustrate the story. I think we're having nearly as much fun ourselves having the letters arrive by email so that we can read the next instalment as R/T are with the owls, lol. The answer to your question is that I'm Remus and Lisa is Tonks. It is slightly strange being a girl writing letters from a man to another girl, and trying to be flirty with her, but obviously I'm not thinking about that too much ( ... )
