We left the Narbonne area on Saturday morning. The place we stayed, Chateau Prat de Cest was lovely, though the wedding during the middle weekend was somewhat noisy. Our apartment was extremely comfortable.

Sorry there was so much rain, but the B & B you stayed at looked really nice. Very interesting setting.

The B&Bs were very good. The rain made it tough to see much of the setting!

The cave was fascinating. I just wish my beloved had left the heater alone!

Too bad about the rain. But the scenery and the B&B looks lovely as does the food.

The food was pretty good. It generally is in France, except in the most arrant tourist traps. The rain was a pain, but everything was really green.

Oh, I'd love to stay in a cave. Sorry you had such a wet journey back, but the photos still look lovely.

We encountered the blockades back in 2000. We became quite familiar with the back roads of the Dordogne area :)

The cave was really good, though it would have been better if Dave had left the heating alone! Our hostess told us all about the quarries at breakfast, which was really interesting. She reassured us that there was a single block of stone above us, 8.3 metres deep, another metre of clay above that, then topsoil. If it gave way we wouldn't feel a thing!

We were fortunate that the blockades were all in the southern part of Rouen and no bother to us at all.
