So, my first essay was due on November 11th. A measly 2,000 words; editing down to that limit was one of the hardest parts.

I hear you. Meeting word count for me always means cutting, not padding.

The last academic essay I wrote took work to get it down to 8,600 words. 2,00 is painful.
