Four bridesmaids, the bride and I have now had our hair done. Flowers have arrived and, where relevant, been despatched to the groom's family. F and I have painted our faces and I am wearing my mother-of-the-bride outfit. She is still in a jumper and jeans, but is also in a very good mood - the house is full of cheerful young people
