I've been somewhat distracted of late, but the current challenge at still_grrr is
Buffy S4, and this Dawn-centred fic just leaped into my head. Set during
Something Blue, of course - when Buffy acquired the little cake ornament.

Dawn was written younger than she was, so it made sense to me that S4 Dawn would have been excited by bridesmaid dresses in ghastly pastels!

Poor Dawn! I hope she gets to be a bridesmaid someday or a bride, if she wants that. (I think it could be fun to read an AU in which Willow couldn't completely reverse her spell - no more demon magnet and no more blind Giles, but not able to reverse the Buffy/Spike thing.)

I'm sure I've read several along those lines - and most Spuffies will argue that "love" wasn't part of the wish, so there must have been something latent there.

We mothers of daughters know just how important that is. My girls never did make it when they were little enough to see it as the pinnacle of existence!

It's not that Dawn was a Spuffy shipper, just a bridesmaid obsessive!
