Yasser Arafat is dead.

What will this do to an already troubled situation? Is this a good thing, or not? How do you feel about it personally: are you glad, sad, or just don’t give a f&*k? Inquiring minds want to know…

I am hoping that his death will bring in someone else that can do a better job at tempering the people and creating peace. By this man's death, I fear that the hatred of the people will rage out of control and cause many more violent problems. The next leader will have a very hard job to do.

Well, there goes the neighborhood.

If and when Yasser dies, there is going to be one hell of a power play. What happens will depend on whom comes into power. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail, but I'm not holding my breath. I would fully expect a major increase in the violence over there.

To be honest, I'm more worried what Israel will do in the mean time. I would not put it past them to use the situation to their advantage. Any thoughts?
