Yeah, but I usually do a mad rush of visiting people when I come back to PA on holidays.

As I am sure you know, or will quickly find out, the American Legion bridge sucks ass.

You could also see how much they like you at your current job, looking for a shift time that avoids traffic or a raise to keep you there.

If not, good luck finding a job on that side of the river.

Well, my current hours are 11a-8p, so I manage to miss the bulk of the traffic. Today was my first day with this new commute, and it took me 40 minutes to get in to work. That's not too horrible.

Don't need to take the American Legion Bridge. Take Rt 29 S to the Beltway and head for Northern Virginia on the Outer Loop. It's a breeze, it can take as little as 25 minutes.
