Oh my goodness, this was utterly, utterly fantastic. At first I thought the rain idea might be a little cliche, but you made it work perfectly. I love the way each little moment is somehow incomplete, how you don't give us the whole picture. We never see Remus finding out the entire story of what happened *that night* in the Shack, and we never see him discovering his parents' bodies, but you make it so we can feel the pain of those events without ever having witnessed them. The pieces of the story are just flashes of emotion, which is really the way memories come to us naturally

I don't think I'm going to be able to stop smiling all day now. Thank you for the comment. I'm a little dizzy from the praise, but I'm going to try and reply to the best of my ability.

I agree that Remus is a very unlucky character in all lots of life, which is why I hate to write anything depressing about him. Obviously I ended up giving into my darker nature, anyway. Don't worry, I thought the rain thing was a little sickening of a theme, too, and I'm oh-so glad it worked out well. I'm relieved the ending worked too, since I tend to just close my eyes, type, and pray when it comes to endings.

Oh my, so peacefully beautiful. *sniff* I love rain, :D. the ending is sad sad sad. "He chants the name over and over to make sure he's not in any danger of waking up." LOVE THIS SENTENCE!!

"As Remus stand there, warm and dry and surrounded by the sounds of a life going on without him, and prays for rain."
This just broke my heart. Oh gosh.
