yes, confinement and entrapment can't be a good thing
i was thinking more of the romantic cover photo
and my days of going to the drive-ins
i'm highly visual, facts escape me
life seems like a dream
good to have you to ground me there...
i might have walked into something challenging

You were right as far as that goes. 😊 I remember going to the drive-in as a weekly family affair. And it was different from going to a theatre. So much more relaxing, and you made a connection of sorts to all the other people, sitting on the hood of their car, or out on lawn chairs. It was sort of like a huge picnic.

This sounds an intriguing book.

It really is. I certainly found it interesting. There's a lot going on that I didn't mention because it would spoil the story.

It sounds like this one wasn't your cup of tea at least for the most part. The setting sounds interesting. When I was younger I went to the drive-thru a few times it was fun.

Mostly, I did enjoy the book, there were just a couple of things I felt were off, or could have had a different resolution. Someone else might be totally okay with it.

I did like the connection to the drive-in. We used to go a lot when I was a kid. And in Phoenix the weather was ideal, except for those few winter months (and we still had winter months back then,) where it was too cold to sit outside the car.
