I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this so much - and that it spooked you. It really must take a special book to do that, given how much horror/supernatural you read. I hope the author's other books are as good.

A lot of horror is creepy, yet doesn't have that visceral tone to it. I loved that this one did. High hopes for her other book.

I've had my eye on this book for a while I'm glad to hear it was so good. When I saw, it was compared to Rebecca, I was very intrigued. I think my library has it I will have to pick it up.

And for me, it was it being compared to Mexican Gothic, which I loved. Hope you can find a copy of the book. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
