Chilling. I'd read about Bikini Atoll, and rumors of Kyshtym (didn't recognize the name). I'd never heard of Windscale. I don't understand why people keep promoting nuclear power.
I hadn't actually heard about Kyshtym, just the rumors of an accident.
It's puzzling. All I can think is that they don't bother to research the issue, or they're going to make money from it so don't care. Either way is unconscionable.

It certainly gives you pause. Especially since the author says that these are only the worse, not all of them.

I can see why this is a book one doesn't 'enjoy'. But it's certainly eye-opening and intense.

That's a good description. I certainly learned some new things about the problems we've had with nuclear power.
