Well, not quite a tree. In the name of downsizing, I decided to combine my Christmas tree with my Christmas village. I saw this in a magazine over a year ago, and then saw it pop up on Facebook a couple of times ( Read more... )

It's beautiful. Clever use of space.

Thanks! :-) The space saving was a real plus, too. The village used to take up far more space, and then with the tree, things would get a little crowded. I like this a lot better.

Wow. What a brilliant idea.

It looks super. And it looks great both lit up and not lit up. Lovely.

I really love your Christmas village.

Thank you! I thought it was a brilliant idea, too, and couldn't wait to use it (though I took longer than I had hoped to. *g*) I do love when it's lit up at night, but I think it looks great during the day, too.

The moment I first saw it, I knew I wanted to do it. The idea was a stroke of genius, whoever thought it up.

And, thanks, I think so. *g*

I really liked the idea as soon as I saw it. The only thing I'll be changing is, next year, I'll have a platform for it. Rustic wood, so that it'll sort of look like the trunk of the tree. That way none of the village is on the floor.

And, thanks! I think it looks pretty, too. :-)
