I just saw Britney Spears "Toxic" video online. I hate this song even more than I hated "Slave for You" I think those lyrics are horrendous! But "Toxic"? What a peice of near pornographic garbage ( Read more... )

And back in the day, they thought Madonna was so "risque."

Um, nope.

Someone mentioned that the reason Janet's breast exposure pissed off so many people was not the fact that it was exposed on national TV, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back. So much exposure of body parts from Chistina to Britney that the public just couldn't handle anymore.

Unless she was trying to take the heat off her brother since she's been by his side from the beginning.

*shrugs*

I remember my mom not letting me do the "lopsided hair" in 1985. Not sure if she didn't like it or it would grow in fucked up. that was the biggest thing she had to worry about at that time with me as a teen.

*sigh* I wish I could go back to 1984/1985 one more time, but not to be in school but to appreciate the other things of that era.

You know though, Madonna was always, IS ALWAYS very much in control of her sexuality and has said very publicly that she is aware of what she is doing and she clearly has an agenda.

I remember seeing the Bedtime Stories concert from Central Park on HBO or something and when people wouldn't stop applauding she yelled into the microphone that they shouldn't be applauding her at all... that there were real people working everyday to make the world a better place who got no applause at all.

She is a smart woman and I an respect her. Britney? Nope! No respect at all. I think she is among the lowest of the low.

I was in a conversation the other day with a friend who was trying to justify Brittney in the Christina Agulara-Brittney dichotomy, and I said I don't like either one of them at all, because what have they ever done for social causes? I only respect women who do something with their spotlight, like Ashley Judd.

This is another thing that gets me. She hasn't given anything back that I can tell adn that irritates the crap out of me.

Oh and the latest...
"The pop princess recently has been wearing a bulletproof vest when in public situations. She also released her longtime bodyguard "Big Rob" for a new team of security experts"

Spare me!

It's funny that you posted this when you did...I saw Britney on Ryan Seacrest, then the next day on Ellen. I was telling my husband about the performances...commenting that she was lip-syncing, and wasn't very good at that. I also mentioned that he would probably LOVE those performances because after both shows, I felt like I had rec'd a lapdance for FREE..LOL That is EXACTLY what she looked like, a stripper, lip syncing to the song she was "performing". She mentioned on something the other day that she didn't try to be sexy.....bwahahaahaa
yeah right...you just roll up out of the bed looking that slutty.
