I'm in pretty much the same boat. Haven't had a car payment in years, but in the next month or so, I will have one again. Paying a mortgage is one thing because, you know, it's an investment. Car's...it's like paying rent on an apartment. Ain't worth nothin'.

We went from no car payment to car payment shortly after we got married. It was less than fun, but yes, need a car when you don't live in an area with a good public transit system.

We've actually been paying slightly more than the car note since we've had the car and have managed to work it so that we'll be paying the car off nearly a year early. It will be nice to go back to no car payment again.

Happy Anniversary!

I'm fighting my hubby to remain car payment free. He's desperate to get me a new car, but I just loathe the idea of having to pay an extra payment each month when we've been free for so long *sigh*
