You've been to Rome? My fiance and I are flying into Rome for our honeymoon. Any pointers? We only have one day to see Rome before we attempt to catch a train to Venice to get onboard a cruise the next day. Have you done the travel by train thing there? We also want to try to find a place to put our luggage for a day so we don't have to drag it around with us...we heard there are lockers you can buy in the airport. True? I'd appreciate any pointers you can give me.

I beleve there are lockers at the airport. I would be very careful about them though, officials in the airport were rather nonchalent and I would bet lots of stuff gets stolen in their airport.

If you are a couple with only a day to spare I suggest you check out Trastevre (sp) as I think it is by far the most romantic area, lot of fountains, little shops etc.Very picturesque. It's also pretty close to some of the other things you may want to see like the Spanish steps. The Vatican/St. Peter's can easily take a day or two by itself, so I would recommend not trying to fit it in.
