Long time no update.

I was close to deleting this journal so many times, but couldn't do it. I've been a stranger for a while now. But I'll try to update whenever I have time to write.
A few things I've done while I was away:
Wisdom teeth
1)I've had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed in the beginning of this month. It took me ages to have the courage to do it, cause whenever I ( Read more... )

I nearly drowned on that beach too...ok not really but I did get sucked under & freaked out for a minute until I resurfaced. This is why I spent most of my time tanning & only going knee deep in the water. And its funny that you mention grabbing the bags in fear of having the sutff stolen, I had to ask this girl I didn't even know "Pode olhar pra mim?" while pointing to my stuff, I was lucky she didn't run off with it haha.

hahaha you're lucky she didn't run off with your stuff. I do that sometimes also, but that's because I never take anything much with me when i go to the beach. I just take a few bucks to have o delicioso mate leão geladinho!! :)

It's good to hear from you again ; and good to hear that you decided to stay on LJ. If you left, it would have been a loss to the entire LJ community.

I'm also happy to hear that your wisdom teeth surgery went well so far. I hope that it's completed successfully, without even a hint of pain.

Your cousins and their friend are very lucky that those life guards were so observant. I trust that they all were O.K. after their scary experience. On the bright side, they'll probably pay closer attention to any future warnings you give them.

It's great to see that you're back Gigi. Have a good week!

I had them all taken out, and I recovered fast considering the fact that the bottom ones were very complicated.

I guess what happened really traumatized them, cause we've been to the beach after that and none of them wanted to get in the water.

Hope all is well with you!!

I'm happy to hear that you had a quick recovery. One thing I've always wondered about though; when someone has all of their wisdom teeth taken out, are they less wise? ; )

Maybe you can bring one of those inflatable swimming pools along the next time you go to the beach with them. Those are much safer than the ocean. : ) Not a good way for them to meet lifeguards though.

I'm doing O.K., thank you. How is everything with you? Are you and Henrik still living in Rio or have you moved to Scandinavia? It's always so hard to keep up with your travels.

Wow. That's pretty damn intense. I'm going to be in Brazil this December. I probably won't go in the water but I'll definitely check out the beaches.

Really? You should go in the water!! It's gonna be Summer in December so you'll probably melt if you stay the whole time in the sand :)

Where were you when my cousins nearly drowned? Next time we go to Ipanema beach, you should come with us. Our personal lifeguard :)
