I've got soooo many thoughts - but most of them are tied to spoilers. So there's a longer (no really. Longer.) version
here WITH SPOILERS.
Basically I liked it and want more. Now.
Songs of the moment: Pink Floyd's On the Turning Away; Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire
(
Cut for tl; dr length )

If it *is* Dean - then they have to explain Meg in Born Under a Bad Sign.
So I'm sticking with Bobby and John kick ass. ;D

And even though Dean admits he was bluffing (and he has a GED- so cute!), that is so what has to happen. Humans are the wild card in all of this and neither the angels nor the demons really consider them to be more than insects/meat suits, and that is so gonna bite them in the ass. On that note, I'm pretty sure my song for this episode is going to be "The Uprising" by Muse.
I also would love Kripke forever if the mysterious power that saved Dean, Sam, and Cas turned out not to be God, but something older and more powerful (like some sort of Earth Goddess who has just about had it with all this shit), but I know that's just wishful thinking on my part.
*I think every song I've ever associated with Supernatural can be found under the " supernaturally musical" tag on my lj (yes, I have a tag for that).

I'm not sure that if God shows up he'll even be GODGod or something like the Earth Goddess.

I'm actually glad Sam got Dean to admit his feelings, because at least it means they're talking. Sam needed to know how Dean felt, as it will give him something to work with.

You know what it reminded me of? Faith. "You can't save me." "Watch me."
Oh, Dean's gonna be able to trust him. Just watch him.

I need to rewatch, but I did like how Jared handled that scene.
Hehe, I will have to look for that next time.
It's coming, I'm sure.
