This is fascinating, Nyquil or not. I'm going to have to listen to the song again and rewatch that end scene.

Yes. You must rewatch it solely for research purposes.

I was "meh" about the episode actually. I liked it but Sera isn't my favorite writer (sacrilege I know). But then they used Silent Lucidity.

For me, since I don't care much about random GotW, this was more about Sam seeing himself in this girl-- nookie and whatever feelings he may have had for her aside. And I feel like I ought to preface this with an "I like Sam! I really do!" despite the fact that I seem to always find myself saying he's a self-centered jerk, but let's not forget, he's the one who wanted to give it up-- go to college, have a "normal" life, forget the monsters exist, and live happily ever after ( ... )

It's also interesting to me that Sam has proven he couldn't do it - twice. Both times Dean has faced certain death it has been Sam to insanely insist there are options.

Given how Dean feels about being brought back, I wonder if the parallel has occurred to him. He's probably dense like me, especially since it would mean realizing that Sam needs him as much as he needs Sam. You were wrong YED! Shut up!

Hey you! Nyquil rocks. There's two things for me. Silent Lucidity arrived at one of those times in my life where *I* needed control and couldn't do it, so basically when the song came on, I stopped functioning,had flashbacks and CRIED like a MOTHER.

BUT... I am very much on your page with this and I can't wait to go back and read it again with all of this in mind. FASCINATING<--- is that spelled right?

You know...in the very recent past you had commented to me that you'd made a header for Ryn, and I was surprised that I hadn't heard about it from her. So I asked her about it and she was all, "Wha?" But then as I talked we realized what happened - she never checks her hotmail and that's where any responses from lj go. Now that we've figured this all out, I sent her the links to the header and the icon and I think squeeing will probably commence.
