There were a TON of wonderful vids to come out of festivids last year. I love that there's a whole event dedicated to vidding fandoms that get left in the dust. So this year I decided to sign up. You guys should too! :)

From my understanding it's sort of like a Secret Santa vid exchange. The twist is that the available fandoms are ones that have less than a certain number of vids in them. So it's not something like Supernatural where everywhere you go there's a million vids lol.
You sign up, pick about 6-8 fandoms from the available list that you would like to get a vid for. You also pick about 4 fandoms that you yourself are willing to vid for someone else.
The mods match you up and you make someone very happy! :)

I'm hoping I get paired up with someone who wants Chuck and I can dash their hopes of a Chuck/Sarah vid by giving them a Sarah/Casey one. Cuz I'm evil like that. Especially around the holidays ;)

I actually clicked on the link and uh WHAT FRINGE IS NOT EVEN ON THE LIST. I couldn't even believe that. MY SOUL IS CRUSHED.

Aw I know. I think that fandom is finally having enough vids for it that it is unfortunately exempt from the list :(

I was looking through the list again and I was thinking I might be able to do it for a few other fandoms if I tried BUT my dvd drive on my Mac keeps spitting out discs so I wouldn't be able to rip any dvds which is easier than downloading files which is plausible but ultimately too much work. Maybe next year! I'll probably be better at vidding by then, anyway. I've only made 5 vids total and 2 that I actually am very proud of.
