Character Love Responses

I feel oddly satisfied with this set. Much more than I felt about the 'five things' meme (excepting the D. Gray-man and Kisame/Itachi ones, which were pretty good). Be interesting to see if everyone else thinks so, too.

For sevetenks, Naruto: Chouji on Shikamaru )

sound, rurouni kenshin, kingdom hearts, leaf, sand, samurai champloo, sannin

Thanks. Kakashi and Gai have such an odd relationship that I had to write about them. Well... that and the only other thing I could come up with was:

Sometimes, in the blackest part of the night, Kakashi was thankful Obito was dead. It was comforting to know that when he woke up in the morning, at least one Uchiha he cared about would still be where he had left him.

And so on.

Oh, that was sad. Of course Kakashi and Gai wasn't exactly happy but it was a good choice.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun with these, and besides the Rurouni Kenshin one, which gave me some trouble, none of these gave me horrible writer's block as I sometimes get doing these memes.

Regardless, I loved your Shishio! ^_______^ You did one of my favorite RK relationships, and one of my favorite scenes too! (That scene being a favorite if only because I find it so...ambiguous and complex and DAMN. ^^;)

Shishio is kind of hard not to write as an empty character. The closest I could get was, "Emotions don't matter. Even if I'm the one feeling them, they don't matter. Emotions don't get anyone anywhere, so they're not worth paying attention to." I mean, because he isn't a completely emotionless character, but he never really acts on those emotions, so he's kind of hard to write. Glad you liked it anyway, though.

Thanks. Sorry I couldn't do any of these choices, but the meme sort of required the 'love' thing to be vaguely canon. I sort of came up with some ideas for the Fourth though...

Jiraiya's star pupil had been a headstrong, idealistic idiot who hadn't improved with age, but at least the man's death had given Orochimaru the satisfaction of imagining the look on Sarutobi's face when he was forced again to take on the Hokage mantle after less than two years of retirement. Children did have an awful habit of dying young.

... okay, that sucked, but it's still sort of funny.

*these equaling yours, of course. Sometimes my grammar leaves something to be desired.

Thanks for the extra :P ThoughI laugh at Naruto cannon, I suppose there -is- no real way for Orochimaru to "love" the people I asked for -_-;;.

Still, it does give something to imagine.

Ah~! I'm very much impressed! I wanted to give you something of a challenge, and you did splendidly, didn't you? Ah, what else was to be expected, I suppose.

I suppose. Luxord isn't really connected to any of the other Organization members, but I thought he and Xigbar might bond well, so there you are.

You could always expect sucky. Then you'd still be right about 60% of the time.

Oh god, I love these all, even the ones for canons I don't follow (stop making me want to watch Samurai Champloo!). The Tayuya one made me a sniffly wreck and made me want to write vulnerable!Kidoumaru and crankily affectionate!AU!Sound Four, curse you.

Samurai Champloo is the most amazing series ever. Seriously, as far as every single character, every single episode, and every single fight scene goes, it's like ten times better than Naruto (that being said, I like some of the Naruto characters better than my favorite Samurai Champloo characters, but cooler overall). It takes place during the Edo period but isn't serious at all. There's a baseball episode which blatantly makes fun of Americans, a zombie episode where they all eat poisonous mushrooms and have a mass hallucination about zombies, a graffiti episode... and it's only 26 episodes long. I got the entire series off Amazon for $35, free shipping, and got it in three days. You want it.

I wrote Tayuya a bit sappy, but if it influences you to write... what the hell are you waiting for?

...damn you. *was tempted to rent it from the local comic book store, decided to hold off...bugger, now I can't.*

If there's any time when Tayuya's allowed to be a bit sappy, it's when there's nobody around and she's about to die. (The phantom of a plotbunny for some sort of sardonic thing with OMG-super-seme!Sakon and whimpering-uke!Kidoumaru keeps pestering me. Trust me, you don't *want* me to start writing that particular one.)

It's totally worth it. Even the heroine is pretty awesome, despite having no fighting skills whatsoever. She also has a pet flying squirrel.

True. Not like there is anyone around to call her girly. (Please. Sakon would only be seme because Kidoumaru doesn't care and would totally be willing to bottom because he'll do anything for a good time. Ukon and Tayuya are the only real semes in all the Sound Five. Kimimaro bottoms for Kabuto and Orochimaru, Sakon's pissy, Jiroubou is ignored, and Kidoumaru doesn't give a shit. Any Sound fic at all would be awesome though, and just to be pushy and irritating, how is Chapter Three of Threads going?
