This is easily the silliest fic I've ever written. Somehow, it's also the easiest fic I've ever written (probably because I'm not angsting over the quality of it). And mother-hen!Sasuke is awesome, and will be so canon, if he ever has kids.

Mother-hen!Sasuke would totally be the dad that blockade's the entire house with child-proofing things, so that Junior can't possibly get into the bleach, even with tiny baby-ninja lockpicking skills.

And the he would follow Junior to school and make sure he has a wamr jacket and scarf and that he puts it on.

...And oh god can you see what he'd be like with a daughter? No way would she ever begin dating. XD

I have no real life experience taking care of babies, or even of pregnancy, really (I'm the baby of my family), but I did a little research and I'm glad it's at least accurate enough not to piss someone off who's actually been through this (as I've been told so many fics of this ilk do).

*is spamming your LJ randomly* I've also failed to give this one sufficient love. This may just be the perfect mpreg sendup; hilariously tongue-in-cheek without going overboard or beating the audience over the head with the satire. Everyone's beautifully in character, too.

You win the internet for the following:
-Kakashi panicking over the crib
-Sakura cheerfully forcing Sasuke to apologize
-the whole fallout from Sasuke's steamroller-ish lack of tact (exacerbated no doubt by years with Oro and company)
-exploiting Sai's comic potential in such a wonderful manner (bird entrails! Wanting to sketch Naruto's C-section)

Unlike so much of what I write, this story is almost... effortless. I've done more research than I've ever done for a fanfic previously (all on pregnancy), but beyond that, writing this story is... easy. The hardest part is writing all of Team Seven (all six of them) together without neglecting anyone. Anyone being Yamato in this case.

Writing strong Sakura who isn't in love with Sasuke anymore is interesting, too. I think they could have a very equal dynamic if she ever gets over him. More give and take instead of her being his doormat.

People do seem to forget that Team 7 includes Yamato (who got a wee bit shafted in the characterization department, but not so badly as, say, Tenten) and Sai (who has all kinds of awesome comic potential: I want to write him with either Tayuya or Sakon, preferably Tayuya for the amusing image of Sai innocently co-opting her nicknames for the other three Gates and her blowing her stack and trying to messily kill him because "NO ONE but me gets to call 'em that, motherfucker!", whereupon Sai goes O_O You're a strange woman, and very plain, too, but I appreciate your complete lack of any social graces. ^__^)

I don't like Yamato or Sai, really (though Sai can be entertaining if written correctly), but they're a part of Team Seven and should be acknowledged as such.

Well, Tayuya's nicknames are accurate... and Sai is fond of accurate nicknames, so... yeah, that would be interesting. On that note... I am so suffering withdrawal from a lack of Threads. I will so write you the Tayuya on a brown chapter when that comes out. I'm missing OT3 bondage so bad right now.
