Guess I'd best bring 'em all in!

It was not the world he knew. That much was certain. Everything else, however, was a mystery. Ever since the tall android had awakened, he'd found himself marveling at how similar and yet different everything was. Other robots he passed barely gave him a cursory glance, and he'd only been stopped once: by a woman who loved his scarf and wanted to ( Read more... )

[There's a short robot with cracked armor huddled in a dirty bit of brown cloth, sitting on the ground with his back to a wall, looking eerily like a homeless child. It's a stark contrast to the clean, bright metal walls and floor and all the bright, sunlit glass. People occasionally seem to notice the boy, but a quick gesture of his hand waves them away from approaching.

The boy (?) clutches to a discarded fuel can that he found somewhere that still had a little bit in it. And by his foot is a small plastic figurine, perhaps a toy, of a figure in red and yellow armor. One of its arms is broken, which is why the toy was apparently discarded.]

He saw the boy, and his moment of joy passed. So even here there is suffering, he thought, before correcting himself: Oh, well. I didn't fight for a utopia. Leaning down to be closer to eye level to the boy, the tall and armored figure stared at him with a blank gaze.

"You there," he asked, "do you need help?"

[Zero glances up, a keen blue eye fixing on the newcomer as he kneels. His gaze is fierce, sharp as the edge of a sword, but yet neutral. Something in it speaks of knowledge, an age far beyond the look of his small body. When he speaks, it's softly, and with a ragged quality.]

I don't know this place. You can tell me where I am.

"Giga City," he replied immediately, "but I have no more idea what this place is than you. I only just ... arrived." Protoman's voice carried little emotional inflection, most of it hidden by the vocal synthesizer in his mask. It had made him harder for Dr. Light to identify when Megaman had first met him.

Lumine likes strange and unusual robots. ♥ irregularlight June 7 2010, 05:08:37 UTC
[Where did he come from? Beware! There is a strange robot- well, Reploid!- in white and mauve shades standing slightly behind you. He introduces himself with a small, soft laugh.]

They say that talking to yourself is a dangerous sign. Do you require assistance?

Strange and unusual robots like Lumine? ♥ no_jazz_knight June 7 2010, 07:03:45 UTC
"A sign of what, I wonder? Besides the most obvious: having no one else to talk to. I am well, thank you." Yet another robotic individual offering his aid to the battle-wearied knight. Turning his head slightly, Protoman regarded Lumine with a cool stare, his scarf shifting to cover his entire left side.

"This city is new to me, but it seems organized. I do not think finding things will be difficult." After a moment, Protoman finally offered his hand to the stranger.

"I am Protoman."
