The fueling depot went up in a thick mushroom cloud, billowing smoke and flames everywhere. For a second it seemed as though that would be it, but then a figure began walking out of the flames, silhouetted by the light, impossible to identify just yet. Whatever it was, it was tall, it was looming, and it was getting closer.

[When reports of the explosion reached the Hunter base, X was dispatched right away. However, it was too big of an event to send just one Hunter, so Axl was paired up with X.

When they arrived, the fire was still raging despite firefighting drones hovering overhead to try to put out the fuel-based fire before it spread. Thick black smoke choked the area, however X movement and a power signature on his sensor system.

Giving a 'heads up' signal to Axl, then pointing into the smoke toward the figure, X gestured to Axl to hang back, then stepped forward to confront the figure.]

"This is the Maverick Hunters! Come out slowly!"

[Oh fine, first time he's gotten to go out and maybe shoot anything since that Lumine incident, and X is already telling him to hang back. Axl siiiiiighs and does as he's told, but he's shifting his guns between forms like he can't decide what he wants to break out first if X gives him the go-ahead.]
