[Harpuia had been all but locked out of the Hunter channels. It was an entirely foreign feeling, to be considered a 'citizen' when he'd been a member of the Four Guardians since his activation. Up until recently, at least. Phantom was right though; even without his position as a Guardian, Harpuia was still a Maverick Hunter...
He couldn't think up a way to ask Master X about the security clearance though. By no means was Harpuia afraid of the answer it was more... Well, if there were 3 copies - not copies, originals according to their scans which just made it worse - of Master X then what else has been kept under wraps? And how would he explain it to Phantom or Leviathan? Or better yet, how would they explain themselves to Master X and any other Hunters working in this time period

[X looks up at the call, losing the slightly distracted look on his face as he accessed his internal map of the shopping district to locate the next shop selling videos. Blinking away the data on his internal display, he glanced around before spotting Harpuia. Seeing him, X broke out into a pleased smile.
He hadn't seen the smaller reploid in quite a while. He'd been somewhat worried.
Turning, he headed over to Harpuia with a small wave.]
[Harpuia caught himself just as he was starting to bow and turned it into a somewhat awkward nod instead] The same to you...
[he frowned when he remembered the previous X he'd run into... And the feeling of his trust in X being shaken violently once more. His faith in his Master had been unconditional before, what had happened? But that was a question that should be asked in a more private setting, not the middle of a busy road in a shopping district]
[With all the hunters and their duplicates running around, Marino hadn't felt it necessary to show herself just yet. She liked doing her own research, and going her own way, and she had a feeling that getting involved with the hunters would only be tiresome at this point. It seemed, though, that things had calmed down somewhat, and the 'Master Thief' decided it wouldn't hurt to get herself a little sunshine, so to speak. Even troublemakers got bored, sometimes...
It helped that the citizens of the place didn't seem to recognize her-- which was annoying at first, but it worked to her advantage. She had no reputation to go by, which meant she could do what she wanted so long as she didn't get caught. Not a bad deal, really: to the unknowing, she was just another reploid, if not a little unique by way of appearance. The only problem was ... well, it was boring.Marino spotted the blue-armoured hunter quickly enough, and quietly made her way over, wondering if this one would respond as she'd hoped

[X grins even wider and quickly crosses the distance between them. He's so excited to see her - and that she knows him, that he almost hugs her. But he manages to restrain himself to just reaching to try to clasp her hand.]
Forget you? Not a chance. I'm just glad you actually know me too.
[Then he pauses and looks chagrined and reaches up with his other hand to rub the side of his head.] Ah, that is, it's not so great that you ended up in the same situation as I... but it's still good to see a friendly face.
[even in this inexplicable place, some things -- and people -- remain ever familiar. his fellow Daevas are one such; and another is and ever shall be his Lord and master.]
[without a sound, Phantom crossed sidewise to the opposite walk and knelt before X.]
[X had been paying attention to his internal heads-up display as he searched shop listing directories for places that sold video chips, so he didn't notice the smaller reploid take a sudden intense interest in him. At least... not until he was suddenly kneeling in front of him.
Shutting down the internal display, X just stood there for an instant with a thoroughly bewildered expression.
And then he realized that under the high-collared, tailed long-coat, he was wearing the same kind of light armor that he'd seen on Harpuia and Leviathan. And he felt a little sinking feeling of dismay in his belly.
Why are they all treating me like this? I don't deserve this kind of- of- feudal formality.
X stammered slightly as he reached down, and half-crouched, before lightly touching his hands to the other reploid's shoulders.]
Ah- I- You- P-please... You shouldn't kneel to me... ah- [He broke off, not sure what his name even was.]
[there was no movement, not even a twitch, as X touched him; his lord, had, after all, no reason to be refused such contact.]
[on the other hand, the stammered reaction suggested that there was something decidedly amiss. and, based on the appearances of the reploids that thronged throughout the city --]
I am Insyou Phantom, my lord.
[slowly, he lifted his head to regard X; there was a question worth asking here.]

What brings you here?

Ah, actually, I'm here to do some shopping. I had an idea that might help ease some tensions back at the base...
And you? Have you been doing well? [Left unspoken is that he hasn't seen you in a while. Are you okay? He was getting worried.]

Why do you ask such a thing of me?

Insyou Phantom... please, you don't have to kneel to me. ...I'm nobody's 'lord.'
