[Waking up after witnessing a big explosion was never a particularly pleasant experience, and the fact that Leviathan had no idea where she was didn't contribute to her mood. On top of that, her comrades were nowhere to be seen. Under any other circumstances, the blue Guardian wouldn't be too concerned about their whereabouts-- after all, the Big ( Read more... )

[Ever since Lumine's attempt to kidnap Axl, things had been quiet. No major oddities or dangerous situations.

It might have even been somewhat relaxing - if it wasn't for the fact that Lumine, and also Gate, were out there, planning and biding their time. As it was it was frustratingly nerve wracking to be waiting to react rather than having a plan of action.

The fact that Axl and Zero were both still grounded and moping around the base wasn't helping the matter either. He had a vague notion of getting everyone together to do something to ease the tension.

But for now, he was resorting to taking walks through the city when he had the opportunity. For one thing, it was nice to see Lagrano before any of the damages the later Rebellion would cause. Also, being able to move around helped him feel less like he was just sitting around stagnating, waiting for something terrible to happen so they'd have another clue to locating Lumine or Gate.]

[Had she been less on edge about her 'brothers', Leviathan would have enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere as well. It was a rarity back home, after the Copy had made his decisions about the energy shortage...

She didn't have time to relax, now. With both Fefnir and Harpuia apparently missing, she couldn't spare a moment to enjoy the pleasant-- if somewhat jarring-- scenery.]

Are you even listening? Hurry up and respond already!

[There was a hint of panic in her tone now, if the raised voice wasn't indication enough. It didn't matter if she drew attention to herself at the moment-- her main goal was to make sure that those two prideful idiots were safe and alive and preferably nearby.

If X were to notice her, the little blue Guardian's design was quite similar to a certain someone else... ]

[X had been down on the street corner, eyeing the window display of a tech-gadget store when his attention was caught by the sound of a young woman's voice rising above the usual bustle of the crowds. He straightened up and glanced over in that direction.

Who-?

Whomever it was sounded upset...

At first he couldn't see the source of the voice. There were too many taller people between them. But then he caught a glimpse of her as the foot traffic parted around the young female as she drew attention to herself.

That short vest and thong armor did seem rather familiar... Where had he seen it before? The child-sized reploid girl was facing away from him, but he couldn't shake the odd feeling of deja vu.

X stood for a minute at the corner, watching her, before it dawned on him that it was very reminiscent of Harpuia's lightweight armor.]

[Leviathan struggled to maintain the composure she still had-- aside from her voice, one may not have been able to tell how stressed she felt unless observing closely. The way she held herself... though not as rigidly, was unmistakably similar to her fellow Guardian in terms of physical posture. She was proud, businesslike in her stance, as all of the Four were capable of-- Even Fefnir, on the odd occasion.

It was getting harder for her to keep an air of calm about her-- she could feel people staring at her now, and worse, looking down at her-- to which she shot flat looks back as she continued her attempt to contact the others.

She didn't need any of this. All she wanted to do was find her teammates, get out of here, and take a nice, long bath in the maintenance pool. She stared around at the people passing, looking for a glimpse of anyone normal-- why was everyone in this place so big? ]

This isn't funny, you know! And I swear if you've gone and gotten yourselves blown up, I'll--

[for once, he hadn't been flying around. Torn between the agreed upon observation and blending in proposed by Phantom and his own wanderlust, Harpuia had decided upon a sort of compromise. Thus, he had found himself a seat on the helipad where he last saw Master X and just... sat there, one leg hanging off the side of the tower and the other drawn up to his chest, tuning in to the Guardians' frequency and simply enjoying the calm breeze. Save the few scattered islands that made up Giga City, the world was blue blue blue as far as the eye could see and not brown yellow dead like he remembered it]

[Harpuia had almost drifted off when a familiar voice made herself very prominent on the open channels. Honestly, he would recognize Leviathan's voice anywhere... and just about collapsed from relief. She was here, she was all right and-

And where was she?]

Leviathan, this is Harpuia. [he stood up, hand raised to his helmet and looking around] And that should be my question to you. You're [all right] late. Your location; where in the ( ... )

Harpuia-- What do you mean, I'm late? What's-- [She had begun talking over him in her excitement, but his inquiry cut her off quite quickly. She struggled to find a landmark-- which was somewhat difficult, considering the bulky, slow-moving Reploid folk all over the place were obscuring the view. And where, exactly, were all of the humans? There had to be some around here, right? Or...]

How should I know? I'll send you what data I can. [Her tone was still grumpy, but there was evident relief in her voice before she sent the location details to her fellow Guardian. She stayed quiet for the transfer-- which really didn't take all that long, but it was enough for the breather she needed. Harpuia was alright-- good. One out of two was good so far. In, out... she could really use some water.

The transfer finishes quickly enough, and she adds jokingly;]

Hurry up and find me, okay~?

Hmph. Knowing you, Leviathan, you'll probably end up running off before I make it there. [and even as he said such a thing, Harpuia fired up his jets to fly to Leviathan's location. Sending a ping to Phantom about Leviathan's appearance Harpuia hurries off ( ... )

[Not like Leviathan hadn't made enough of a stir already. The only reason people kept their distance-- for the most part-- was the fact that she opted to keep them at bay with an ice-cold, mess-with-me-and-I-will-cut-you attitude]

What kind of stupid question is that? [Good to see you too, bro ;n; ] One minute I'm standing next to you and the fighting freak, then the next I'm in this weird place and you two are nowhere to be found! Yelling was perfectly suitable.
