As one last quick post before sign-ups, I've already encouraged all of you to read/re-read the rules (and do again), but just in case you think you can already remember/guess everything I'm gonna do a quick and dirty rundown of things that will get you banned.

The three things that will get you banned1. Not completing a gift before the deadline ( ( Read more... )

So, I am appalled at myself that this appears to have happened, but I want to double check: did I actually default last year without letting you know? Because if I did, I have no (reasonable) exoneration and I am totally down with being banned and also, I'm really, really sorry?

I'm afraid so.

If you think you could finish a 1000 word treat for someone from last year's requests and post it into last year's collection I actually would be perfectly willing to instate a 'complete a gift within the year between challenges and be forgiven for defaulting' rule.

That's so common in exchanges I actually thought it already was one until I just went back over the rules myself. It must just have slipped my mind when I wrote them up last year since there were no default bans to worry about. orz

Actually, forget that. Because I was a flake and didn't notice that I'd completely forgotten to put that in the rules, and it wouldn't be fair to make people this year have only two weeks to finish something when from this round on people will have all year to get a story or piece of art to have a default ban forgiven, I'm not going to force you to do that.

Defaulting bans for last year are forgiven, but if you default without contacting me before the deadline again this year it will mean a permanent banning (as it will be with people who complete a fic in the future). Feel free to sign up! :)
