For the DVD commentary meme, ditchwitchbitch wanted commentary for an Andy/Elijah ficlet I wrote called Obvious, In Retrospect. It's an Elijah first person POV, and I think it's maybe the best thing I've written for fandom, apart from the Andy POV companion piece.

I'm pretty sure I ranted and raved about this after you posted it--and if I didn't, then I'm a fucking idiot. But I love this fic, and I must agree, it's one of my favorite things that you've ever written. It really gets to me after doing the RP for so many months and in my own mind, trying to figure out how their relationship could ever work. Elijah has this desperate, I'm-such-a-kid thing going on, that you can't help but love him for, but it's really heartbreaking, isn't it? This fic hurts, but in a good way. Thank you for posting the commentary. :)

I'm pretty sure you did as well. I'm glad you liked it. I like it too, and it really is one of my favourite pieces of fic. I wanted to try something new with this- the new being the first person POV and a fic in which things didn't work out happily in the end, but where it wasn't necessarily angsty either. Elijah is a bit of a kid here, but it works considering the time period and how old he was. I like to imagine that he eventually got over Andy and moved on and was happy with someone else. Also? My pleasure to do the commentary for this one.

I missed this one the first time. Now I'm sorry I had. One of those fics that hurt, not out of meanness, but by the fact that we've all been there before. And, yeah. :D
