you may be surprised that a NON-BAND person like myself would see the significance of this. that is insane. i have been around you people for too long. in my blissful days of ignorance i would've been like "so what? don't bassoons usually play in pep bands?" but now i know better. and they say you don't learn anything in high school.

Word. Ben and I've come to a tentative agreement about solo priveleges and such...and we're doing our best...and training a freshman. But I'd still give my soul in a heartbeat to have you here. (Especially when Mr. Brown decides to spend the better part of practice ragging on the bass drums. :( )
