I really enjoyed this. XF was my first fandom, and I continue to have deep affection for these characters.

I can't judge if you meant the subtitle "the epic love story of Mulder & Scully" tongue in cheek. While I was a fan of MSR back in the day, that's not what stood out for me, watching your vid. It was more about the journey these two went through, the trials and the triumphs and how Mulder and Scully changed (or didn't, in Mulder's case IMHO) because of it all. The love story was part of it, certainly, but to me it felt like your vision (and their story) went beyond that. Very nice. This is a keeper. Thank you.

Not meant tongue-in-cheek, exactly - just that I wanted to capture their universe and their travels together. I'm so glad you enjoyed it; thank you!

You did this brilliantly, my friend! What the frig were you so worried about? See? Knew you wouldn't run out of Mulder angst.*g* I loved this tale, it feels like one of the very best X-Files epis told just how I want it to be told, according to my canon of how I see those two. Beautiful.

I actually did find myself scrounging for Mulder angst, seriously! That instrumental section really sucked up a lot of angst footage! Anyway, I'm so glad it's "your" canon - this is my canon, too!

WOW, this was epic indeed, three times in a row and my mind is still blown. Your vid really captured the Mulder/Scully ship and why I love these two. They went through hell together on more than one occasion and still faced every new roadblock with courage and made their partnership work on every level. There is so much love and trust between the two in their crazy world surrounding them trying to bring them down.

I really love how you worked with the cases and the conspiracy in your vid. It gives me the more epic feeling of what they’ve been through over the years and the vid just looks so interesting and fresh. And the song is also perfect, great overlays and transitions - I’m just gonna enjoy this a few times more now - *pets vid*

I had two reactions to this vid immediately upon watching it. One was: I wish I could've watched that show. The other one was: yes, this was my show. What beautiful work you've done, to make me feel both of those things at the same time. The hell they've gone through together, their realities as tough, complicated, often beaten people just trying to hold things together . . . this is everything I ever wanted TXF to be, and everything it was when it was at its best. I love the way you delay all that oft-used origin-story (*g*) footage - young Mulder losing Samantha, Mulder and Scully meeting, Mulder and Scully laughing in the rain together, etc. - until at least halfway through the vid; for me, it was almost an echo of the way I feel about the show now - like, first, these two have gone through so much shit together and suffered so much - but oh, wait, remember how it began? It's a wonderful nostalgia effect.

It's funny; I watched this vid right after reading an article about a police raid on RNC protesters in Minneapolis. And I ( ... )

Hee! Thank you! That's kind of what I wanted to do - the show as I saw it, editing out the problem bits :-).

And, yes, XF really had a government paranoia that was ... well, perhaps, unfortunately, ahead of its time :-(.

Anyway, I can't tell you how happy I am that this is "your" XF- it's my XF, too!

Wow. I just watched this quickly before having to rush to get ready for work, so I haven't been able to fully absorb it yet. I do know already that I loved it so much I had to do a drive-by rec for it at my LJ, though. Absolutely fantastic work. There's so much to digest here, which is always true of the very best of vidding.

XF, as my very favorite show, is notoriously difficult to capture fully, especially within just a few packed minutes. I think you did a stellar job of that here, and I can't wait to watch this again when I get home and better appreciate it.

Oh, thank you! I really wanted to capture the sweep of their universe; I'm so glad it worked for you. And thanks so much for the rec; I appreciate it!
