I like this a lot!! It makes me all nostalgic and happy. I'd be interested to know why you chose those particular fandoms (it's the first time I've seen Moonlighting in a vid).

Thanks - I'm glad you liked it!

Why those fandoms? Combination of factors. Some are my own preferences -- S&H, HL, XF, Voyager. I also wanted to make sure that there was enough het relative to slash, and I wanted to make sure we saw femme slash -- that's why the Firefly, Xena, Doctor Who. I wanted to have a mix of old and new, which was another reason for Doctor Who - and with Who, I was able to quickly demonstrate how people have different pairing preferences. Kirk/Spock is a classic, so it had to go in. Moonlighting is there because it's almost the definitive will-they-please-stop-talking-and-kiss-already show -- even if it went downhill after they did get together, the show kept the country on edge for, like, 2 seasons. Beyond that, I just used whatever DVDs I had available, with the intention of "shouting out" to other fandoms and popular pairings (i.e., West Wing, etc).

Anyway, thanks for watching - and for commenting.

Okay, made good on my promise GK, and watched this baby! And it wasn't easy either - youtube downstreamed about 3 seconds every ten, and then refused to go more than halfway :sigh: Got to it via imeem - and the picture was better quality there anyway.

And I loved it ! Good guess for me - bouncy, snappy little thing to a bouncy, snappy song, so I was happy. And the multi fandom aspect of it was fascinating - kept my attention throughout even if I didn't recopginse some of the shows. I also loved how you sneaked in Xena and Moonlighting - such fun!

So thanks. See? I trusted your rec, I tried and I liked. *g*

I'm so glad, thank you! And, yes, Imeem is SOOO much better -- do not watch a vid on You Tube unless you have to!! (Also, I've reedited most of my vids since putting them on You Tube so the Imeem versions are improved).

Anyway, I'm glad it made you happy!

lol. "Somebody always shoots at us when we're kissing."

This was great... I especially loved the X-Files footage.

coffeeandink linked to this video on Imeem and I just wanted to come over here and tell you how much I enjoyed it!

I particularly liked your use of matching imagery across the shows - that was really satisfying and effective, and the whole thing was just lots of fun to watch.

Plus, it seems to have awoken in me a deep nostalgia for Ray K and Fraser. Also for John Barrowman's 1940s hair. I miss that hair.
