That was...wow. Great song choice for this material. The cuts to the beat were just fantastic, really well done. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! I did love the song for this - had to drop everything and vid as soon as I got the idea. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh my goodness, this is fantastic!! What a fun song choice. And the editing in this is tight. I love the way you used all those long slow tracking/panning/spinning/etc. shots to your advantage by speeding them up. Very cool.
Damn I love that con man and his FBI boyfriend ;)

Aww, thank you! Yes, the camera movement was fun to work with, and there were such lovely views of the scenery to use :-).

This is wonderful! I especially love your choruses: first, the interplay between Neal-as-con and Peter as the crucial structural element of Neal's life and character, with that absolutely perfect clip choice on "What you used to be"; then, with "What New York used to be", all those gorgeous cityscapes--with Neal and Peter situated directly within some of them--at once grounding the characters and opening up their world, visually. The whole vid worked for me, but those moments worked for me a LOT.

Also, everything happens at exactly the right moment in this vid. Not just in terms of cutting with the music, but in terms of when in the song--and in the vid as a whole--you introduce each element of Neal's life and character. Perfect narrative timing! SO GOOD. :)

Oh, wow, thank you so much! I picked the song precisely because I thought it had such a great narrative built into the lyrics and music itself- I'm so glad you felt it came through in the vid :-). And I'm very glad you enjoyed the cityscapes as well - it wasn't until I was actually working on the vid that I realized just how much the show loves to show off the city - it was a lot of fun using that for the vid.

Definitely agree with gigglemonster-- the tight editing on this is a joy to watch. I also love the mirroring/in sync moments with Peter! This is an ultimate 'ship recruiter vid, completely convincing and wonderfully thorough at getting across who Neal is, who Peter is, and how they make magic together. Love it!

Thank you so much! The song felt to me like such a great vehicle for telling the story of Neal and Peter - I'm so glad it came through for you in the vid!
