i haven't read this in a very, very long time! it's still fascinating to read and it stands to this day mainly because elijah was and remains very articulate and passionate about his work. so much wisdom for a 16 year old! thanks for bringing this one back.

Elijah is far beyond his years in maturity, he is an intelligent beautiful human being far beyond his actual age.

This was new to me. Thank you so much.
It's amazing that he had the same attitude towards acting and film making then as he has now.
Interesting that he mentions missing a normal school and a group of friends to hang out with. I've always had the impression that he made up for that during his time in New Zealand with the other hobbits and Orlando.

There was a time when he wanted to quit acting because he didn't have friends his own age, because he felt alone. I'm glad that he didn't, he has bloomed into such a wonderful person and actor and so much more.
