So that happened. Germany destroyed Brazil 7-1. Seven. To. One. They'll go to the final against whoever wins tomorrow's semi between Argentina and Holland (Argentina, please.) It was kind of like this:

Holy mother of fuck, I'm actually only reading about this now =') I knew Germs were gonna win but seven, that's just brutal. (I am kinda glad Spain aren't the one with the most goals against them in one match anymore though, hah!) Poor Brazilians, tbh, but well, they made it till the last four! And now I hope Germany destroys either one of the teams.

The analysts were pointing out after the game that Brazil didn't have to qualify and didn't set up any friendlies with teams that could give them trouble and also didn't get stuck in a "group of death". Without Neymar and Thiago Silva they were missing their main striker and the leader of their defense (and also the usual team captain). After Germany's second goal they looked completely lost.

Not that Germany didn't play like a machine, because they did. I love that Neuer was annoyed at letting that one goal through. I'm glad Brazil got one, though. I felt so bad for their fans. The cameras kept showing people crying in the stands. All the players they interviewed were in tears. The great thing, though is that there was still hugging and shirt-exchanging and stuff after the game.

Yeah, somehow I got the feeling that Brazil only got this far cause their the hosts, and because historically speaking "Brazil is supposed to get into the semi finals". I do feel bad for them, but you've got to be realistic too right.. Brazil + football is such an intense combo, though, it's bound to bring up all kinds of emotions.

I think they'll feel better if they take out Holland on Saturday. I know I will.
