Yay for the little things :).

Damn, that Dr sounds like a tosser. I'm sad you (like so many :/), have had scuh shitty experiences with the medical system. I'm glad you've found some stuff that works though.

Also, i get very annoyed that so many people seem to think if you have any mental problems, then ALL your physical problems must be made up. Ffs. You can have both in your bloody Christmas stocking :P.

Enjoy Stradbroke :).

Do you ever get to the point where you just say, "Dude, do you realise you're being a complete arsehole?"

I think it's a prerequisite for employment at the RBWH. (Though the gastro guys I saw were all lovely, they're the exceptions thus far.)

the thyroid clinic peeps are lovely...if reluctant to give information...and unhappy at question asking.

"The King's Speech" is fabulous, I really enjoyed it too! We went on Saturday, for M's birthday. Actually, I dragged him to the movies because he was getting maudlin, but the movie greatly cheered both of us.

Sorry to hear about the moron doctor... perhaps next time you should ask him "ok, so what's the best/expensive option for me right now, and what are you going to give me instead?" Just so you know your options.

I got asked by several people within days of our wedding about our reproductive plans, even though they never asked me that before. Apparently, people get married with a single aim - to have children! ;)

In fact, one of the people said "Congratulations on getting married! Now, what do you give Russian Orthodox babies for their christening?". I was a complete loss for a reply...

"Gold, of course!"

"A proper icon of St. Olga."

"A perfect black bull calf with a garland of flowers around its neck."

"The deeds to the Winter Palace."

Duh! :D

It just irks me - I came to the conclusion many years ago that the physical strains of pregnancy were probably beyond me, but suddenly it's only relevant and likely to depress me because I got married last year. Wtf. *headdesk*

Heh. :) it was more than they assumed that 1. I was planning to have kids, 2. that I got married just for that reason, 3. that I am religious, and 4. that I am Orthodox. All in the same sentence, and didn't even bother to ask first.

People are weird. This whole marriage = kids attitude is completely beyond me.

Green Hornet is oK for a buddy movie. Seth Rogen plays a self centred dick almost perfectly.

Is your local State MP opposition, either way, email them about the revelations about budget problems at the hospital. If your local Member is Labor, cc: the opposition health spokes weasle.

I once chewed out a coworker who spent half an hour trying to convince me having that getting prego and having a kid for Y2K new years was such a grand idea.

Yea. I don't get THAT one either.

I'm thinking of probably a dozen comebacks for that level of stupid, and none of them are fit to print, even here. :) (USA east coast'ers tend to be sarcastic buggers, lol)

{{{HUGS}}}

OTOH, if your clinics aren't being cooperative, and you can scrape up the cash (shipping tends to run around US$50-ish) - you can order neurontin online here. Mom-in-law used to get all her expensive COPD meds through there, and they worked just as well for her as the stuff that cost 4-6x as much at home even after insurance co-pays.

They don't have narcotics, unfort - but I'm not surprised at that - but they have a variety of other stuff, including the diclofenac gel I like so much. :)
