No job on House for me

I have Lupus. Or, at least, I meet seven of the 11 diagnostic criteria for it, and only four are required to make it official. The mouth ulcers and the butterfly rash were the clinchers. Probably also the last 16 months of appetite and weight loss - though that seems to have improved lately (touch wood), even if my capacity appears to have ( Read more... )

Tell him I *should* be ok (despite still feeling pretty crap) - my latest blood tests show that all my organs are in good working order and with luck this is still in the early stages - the rash only started appearing in February and I'm told it's generally one of the first things to happen. So we should be able to keep an eye on it and keep things under relative control. The rheumatologist that I've been seeing for my EDS is also the one that the Lupus Foundation in Queensland recommends, so I'm already onto a winner there. Thank him (and you) for the concern, though. :) *hugs*

You seem to be moving house almost as often as we do, and we're living in a caravan. :P

Make sure you let me know where you are, so that I can come and tickle you with a lemur when we get back up north, whenever that may be: we had thought that we'd be back up for winter solstice, but who knows? Life is like that atm...

As for your latest diagnosis, blargh- how the hell did you aquire lupus? You're sneaking about in the night stealing other people's illnesses, aren't you! Greedy illness stealer, you... *hugs*

I'm up at Aspley now on Kirby Road (parallel to Gympie Road), really easy to find.

Hope you're back for the solstice - looks like the Epic Trek is slated to begin on the first of July, whether I'm ready or not ...

I blame my friend in Ballarat for the lupus - I must have caught it from her when I was looking after her back in 06. Definitely. Her fault. ;D
