Rule: EVERYTHING can be improved by the addition of zombies.

So I finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. It is currently in the hands of ghymoreids_mum, most likely to be followed by laxativecookies's Dad and his Spousal Unit next week. (Have I mentioned on here that I'm heading down to Victoria next week to spend a week relaxing in the spa country and attending the Glenlyon Food & Wine festival on the 31st? No ( Read more... )

I'm sure I can bring myself to do so. ;)

I will also ensure that I prod your father several times (I'll be there all week) about your birthday. And then tell him that you told me to. *grin*

people's

Apostrophe usage correct.

And there are Zombies in HP? OOoooooOOOooooOOoooooo.....

Southern perambulations sound cool.

Good luck with special effects planning. Not-spoon-feeding-audience sounds like a clever way to go with that one. Better, particularly, than something that looks low-tech and campy. "Titus Budgetus" is not going to be a winner.

Took the lovely Sara to angie78 and stimpuppet's engagement party on Saturday night; she now insists on referring to herself as the "Lord High Substitute", yet still doesn't get it when I point out that despite the fact that her heels were high she's still significantly shorter than shkibr (who was hilariously forced to duck to cross the room due to low-hanging ceiling beams - sometimes it's good to be titchy)

Do I need to comment here? Much more than likely not, but anyway - pls register amusement at said person's feelings of shortness and otherwise height inadequacy. Ha!

for some reason I am reminded of a radio play of King Lear - in particular the scene in what I think is Act 3 where the loyal servant is blinded. Just remembering the line "out foul jelly" while the actor was doing a very realistic scream still sends my hackles up and a shiver down my spine.....

for the effects I recommend a (raw) ham leg or similar on a thick wood block with a sharp cleaver, or a tomahawk and having a microphone nearby. You could possibly even have the blow shot from behind by a light so that the audience just sees the shadow on a sheet..... or maybe not....

Yeah, discussing doing the beheading as a shadow-shot (with a blackout just as the axe/sword/whatever descends), run that in the first act when Tamora's son is sacrificed and then as a side-by-side with Titus removing his hand ... provided we can lay our hands on the projection and recording equipment, that is.

Eat cheese till you are sick for me. I'll just wallow in envy in the meantime.
