The successful rescue mission of the two Pigs also revealed to the Project members that all of the attacks were actually supposedly set up by the Project as a test for them, to see if they were ready to return. They passed.

So the whole rescue shinding got Miller thinking. And that thinking got her to decide that it was time to start really training again.
This decision is so totally totally not also affected by the fact that her "father" has recently contacted her again. Totally not at all.
