Very interesting premise!
It lacks the unapologetic, bold, "go there-ness" that I've come to expect and love in your stories but it was heart warming nonetheless!
Can't say I'm not psychically nudging you to do another no holds barred hot ghoul throwdown though. ;)

Aw, ghouls and babies... I've been playing around with the idea for Gob/Baby LW because I thought trying to get a LW with Charon would be almost unbelievable, but you made it work great!

"Charon wrapped her blanket a little tighter and shifted her a little closer to himself. “I don't like kids.” - I think that's my favorite line. The foreshadowing of the shotgun is cool, too, and seeing Charon with a different employer.

You didn't name her here, but that's Cross, right? First time I've seen her in a fic. "Your father would be proud!"
