how do i keep finding these things? here's a mid-70s, short lived radio serial based on several of the Lee/Kirby issues of Fantastic Four. it feature voice talent from Stan Lee, Bob Maxwell, Cynthia Adler, Jim Pappas, and Bill Murray as Johnny Storm.

I love Bill, I really do! But why is it that he almost always uses his own voice?

because they hired him for his...bill murrayness? i dunno. he's not even doing that distinct delivery that is...bill murrayness. it seemed an odd casting choice in general.

I'm only guessing with the time line since the article says mid-70's, but the only thing I can figure is that he was either tired from doing SNL? Or perhaps he didn't have his delivery down yet? Or, most likely, he just needed cash and didn't put his heart into it. Still, it sounds weird listening to it now when we know what he can do.
