Since I decided I wanted to use the waterfall oveskirt for my black natural form gown, I thought it would be wise to try it out first. I had an aubergine coloured taffeta with small black vevet dots in my stash for which I had nothing planned yet.

Yesterday we went to Castlefest as a steampunk family. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so good. It rained almost all of the day. However we managed to be at Castlefest in the few hours it was dry. I got it in my mind that I need a new hat for my steampunk gown I'm going to wear this saturday. And I wasn't planning to cover one :D. So for the very first time I started to make a hat from buckram. I started this tuesday and everything went so smoothly, it is now almost finished. All I need to do is decorate it.

Well, the fabric I ordered almost 2 weeks hasn't even been send yet :(. I''m so disappointed, because they usually send it reasonably quick. So if I want a striped underskirt, I have no other choice but to dye my black & white striped underskirt. And that's what I'm doing right now. I bought "terracotta brown" dye.
