"I want candy" gown

I have 2 major projects: my "black gowns project" and my "blue gowns project". So what do I do? Right, I'm making a pink gown. Does it makes sence to you? No, to me neither. But I did get inspired by watching Marie Antoinette....again. And I wanted to make this gown (picture from the costumersguide):

I agree, it looks great with the black skirt! Love it!

Thanks! I think it really does look better with the black, but then again....I love black and feel really comfortable in it.

It looks good both ways ,in my opinion, but I have always been a big pink fan ;)
I did get a little shock when I saw the whole pink outfit, I donot think I have ever seen in such a light colour!

I have never been a pink fan, but having a little girl makes me look at pink gowns differently. So it was time for a little experiment. The pink colours do look good together, but just not on me. I guess pink is not a flattering colour for me. The petticoat really is a light colour. I found it on the Albert Cuyp. Both fabrics are just cheap taffetas, so not much money is lost in this experiment.

I do love the all pink combination but I can understand your concerns too. It looks great with the black skirt also and I love the style of the jacket.

LOL, maybe someone else should wear the pink combo. The colours look good together, but not on me. It's just not flattering, alas. But I'm glad the jacket looks good with the black skirt, so I can still wear that.
