So I continued with the black faux leather corset. It all went so good that it is now finished. It is still pretty basic (no trims). I'm not sure if I will add ( Read more... )

Wow, it looks soo good!! I met someone who said they'd help me make a corset, so perhaps sometime this Spring/Summer I'll finally make one!

Thank you! You should definitely try to make a corset. When you can make 18th century stays, you can also make a corset. And the Truly Victorian pattern is so easy to work with. I highly recommend it.

Thanks! LOL, my wardrobe will be massive indeed. I'm trying to make as much as possible, so you can expect more in the next weeks. I'm also trying to use up my stash, but since I'm still regularly buying new fabric, that's not really working right now :D.

Haha I know the feeling!
I am cutting up whole bolts of fabrics for castlefest and such and that feel so good.
Now I can buy new fabrics for my atelier haah!
I always have enough to make something for myself, but never the right fabric for the project I want to that moment or need.

And every time I buys stuff for a costumer, I always find something for myself, I need another lifetime and more hours in a day!!!!

Haha, I have the same thing! I have enough fabric for several projects, but it seems I always want to make something I just don't have the right fabric for in my stash. And so I buy new fabric (again) and my stash keeps growing. And the ideas for new projects keep coming also. I always want to make my newest design instead of finishing what I was working on. Hence my closet is filled with started, but still unfinished projects. My goal for this year was to finish them all, but I'm not quite succesfull yet :D.
