When I specifically asked my doctor about anxiety meds (I had a HUGE problem with anxiety last summer) she wouldn't give them to me because she said many people who take anxiety medication become more anxious on them and they do nothing. But that anti-depressants can sometimes act as a 2-in-1 for it.
