Well all in all, the chapters are just snipits of their lives so I don't know how much I can help the rushed feeling.... but i'm glad you seemed to enjoy it

I love that it took these extraordinary bad circumstances for England to finally understand the promise France once gave him. Just as much as I adore the melancholic, old and weary side of France in this chapter, it just makes me love him all the more.
