AL LIEN! How did I not get that one? Seeing as I've seen him a million times in your avatar! I had him mixed up with a different guy that isn't pictured here.
Ken is quite handsome! I'd forgotten about him, but now... hmm!
Apollo looks quite different as a woman, but the nose gave him away. :D
Well, I was impressed. I think you did brilliantly. Al Lien looks (to me anyway) slightly different in my avatar than he does in CAS. Gosh but he makes a weird looking woman.
I also think Apollo makes a rather plain woman. His sister is a tweaked clone, tweaked to make her more feminine. Much needed, as you can see from above, lol.
Ken is the first alien I was ever happy-ish with. I like his side view/profile very much.
Talking of profiles, Iliveforsleep mentioned those, and she's right, what looks good from the front can sometimes look really weird from the side and really different. (Well, now I know what to play about with if I can't sleep later, lol.)
I try to remember to check the profiles. It's not just noses, but chins too. There's an underlip slider that can really change the shape of the mouth from the side too - if I remember to use it.
It was Ivan I was thinking of, yes. But he's really quite different. Al's face isn't chubby, more... cylindrical. ;)
Wow! Your Sims have a lot of variety! See this is what I'm getting at. You and Pixel are so unafraid to push the sliders to the limits for all sorts of characteristic faces! It impresses me how wild and interesting your Sims get. I think it's because you two are making so many aliens. You're not inhibited to stretch the slide.
This is so funny to me, because I was just thinking that you push the sliders a lot more than I do! My sims are still pretty basic faces. Must be a perception thing... ^_^
It may well be. I know I'm not seeing any variety in my Sims at all well not the humans, any ways. Yet you two do. Yet I see a wide variety of shapes and looks in yours.
It's an odd thing. I look closer atmy art and see all these tiny little flaws, yet I look at my Sims and I don't apparently look super scrutinizingly at them to see all these little details.
The obvious ones like Taliesen and Wolf I do see it, the humans like Evan and Nexrad and them, I don't see it as much, although we're back to my 'source' material for them, I suppose. I'm going to make a black fellow without inspiration from COH and see if I can make him NOT look like a carbon copy of everything else I make.

EDIT: I think you were thinking of Ivan Tabunny (http://gheez.livejournal.com/13627.html#cutid1), he also has those sticky out ears and an odd shape face.
