So I recently watched season 7 of ST Deep Space 9 in completion for the first time. I've been a fan of the show for a long time, I just kept falling in and out of watching it. Anyway that is why this post is all about Kira Nerys (and it was difficult choice between her and Jadzia really, because I love them both so much!)

Thank you! I love her so much too, she has really one of the most amazing character arcs I've seen (esp on any Star Trek!). Glad you enjoyed this, it was fun looking at so much Kira stuff!

She really does, her character development is superb and as you said, especially for Star Trek. I don't see much DS9 stuff around anymore so it was great seeing your post. Kind of makes me want to do another re-watch lol.

Just rewatched a bunch of it myself, and it was lovely, I highly recommend it :)

I LOVE KIRA! JSYK! :D And I'm amazed at all the pretties, I never really go look for pretties, especially not for shows I'm not currently obsessed with, and I've never seen anything for any Star Trek show, so YAY! I actually clicked on all the links, just out of curiosity, so I'd say mission accomplished. :D

Also, I LOVE that there are Jadzia/Kira shippers out there. My number one ship for DS9 will always be Ezri/Kira, because I never liked Jadzia that much (for totally superficial reasons, I think I should watch the show again and pay more attention to the eyesex she's having with Kira, then I'll probably start to love her :D).

But yeah, long story short, I agree full heartedly, Kira is AMAZING! And she taught me that Star Trek characters can actually EVOLVE, instead of just sitting on their ship for seven years, doing basically the same things every day. LOL And I agree with the picspam about getting distracted by her hair. Because that happens to me all the time. :P

Oh that's awesome! I had no idea if you watched ST at all or not! I just rewatched a bunch of DS9 so I'm temporarily still very into it at the moment so I got it all over my tumblr :)

There are a lot of Jadzia/Kira shippers, at least if you look in the right places. This ended up a little shippy, but there was a lot of stuff I left out because I didn't want to just focus on the ship.
Also so sad to hear you didn't like Jadzia - she was my absolute first and most favorite on the show. If you ever get a chance ot rewatch hopefully you'll enjoy her more. I just watched a lot of the Ezri episodes for the first time and I was glad I was able to like her more than I thought I might. But mostly I just missed Jadzia :)

Also yes she developed awesomely and is one of my favorite ST characters (not that I've seen all of ST series, but I've seen enough!)
