Day one of the sale was a huge success.  We sold about 20 kitchens.  On average we sell about 7, and during the sale our goal is 11 per day.  I think all of the management was working in the full serve handout today.  The looked a little frazzled at closing.  :D  It was fun to be busy again ( Read more... )

A thoughtt about housing, though: we should look into not only buying, but selling. Because if we get a house, and decide later that we don't want it, we want to make sure that we're not stuck with massive payments even if we sell, etc. You know what I mean? I just think we should play it a bit safe, as being in debt isn't fun. So maybe ask mortgage guy about how buying / selling works in general?

I only had 10 min to talk to him yesterday and then I had to go to work (he had an appointment that went longer than expected before me), but I am going to maybe find a realator to sit down and chat with about all of that stuff. I still think the duplex thing may be a good idea... but who knows

I'm from around that part of Richmond. It is a tough neighborhood, with some quirks. There's a weird new development around the BART station that's probably outside of your price range, but very nice. That neighborhood is where a lot of the violence people associate with Richmond happens. My parents' house is a little less than a mile from BART, and prices continue to go down there, but I don't think they're down to 100,000 yet. I don't know if any of this will help...

That helps, thanks! I don't really know if anything will pan out with it, but it's fun to think about :)
